There is a new act that has just passed that is giving new home buyers a $7,500 tax credit this year in an attempt to help out the US housing situation. However, this act is not all it’s cracked up to be. The tax credit needs to be paid back over the next 15 years or when you sell your house. That fact doesn’t seem to be as highly advertised.

The tax credit was created in order to ease the pain of homeowners, but this interest free loan from the government may just cause more people who can’t really afford homes to go out and buy them. It looks like this act is not all it’s cracked up to be from my perspective.

One of the cooler features they have is a birds eye view of housing they have available in their area. Also, on top of the normal housing search you find on other real estate sites you can also search listings by keyword. For example you can search for “swimming pool” or “fireplace” or any keywords you could find in a real estate listing. A very useful tool if you are searching for something very specific that you might not find in a typical real estate search engine.

On top of housing listings, they offer articles that give advice on common real estate issues. Some titles include “7 questions every buyer shold ask their realtor”, “how to buy a home for a penny at closing”, and
what to expect at closing”.

Don’t like to read? They also offer video tutorials with buying and selling tips. Finally, they have their own housing blog. Basically they have every resource you could possibly want in a real estate site.

If you’ve seen the new Last Shadow Puppets Video, found here, you probably found that there wasn’t much to it. The name of their album is “The Age of The Understatement” so perhaps we shouldn’t be surprised by this. The only thing in the video besides the two singers dressed in suits are a troop of 60s Mod girls wearing striped dresses.

I was browsing around the internet the other day and I came across a site that offers those walkin tubs you see on television. The site was remainactive.com. I decided to read a bit about it and so I’ll share what I learned with you guys. It designed for the elderly and basically it’s a walkin tub that you can sit in.
